Pretty 1950s party dress made from a soft, light blue chiffon layered over a purple lining. The skirt is a different sheer blue chiffon that is darker and crisper and it creates a beautiful ombre effect from top to bottom. The bodice has a pleated ruched bust made with the lighter blue chiffon, and has a wide scooped neckline. The waist is a panel with pretty beaded detail that features a sequinned flower at the centre. The skirt is pleated and gathered and falls nicely to the knee, and it may have either shrunk ever so slightly because the lining peeks out from underneath. The dress zips up at centre back with a metal zipper.

CONDITION: Good condition overall, but there is some discolouration under the arms of the lining. Some stains on the front bodice in the lining and that can be seen a bit underneath the chiffon on the centre front right side. The very top of the side seam near the underarm and the waist seam on the right side need to be restitched. There are two very small holes in the skirt chiffon that get hidden in the pleats.
