Self-seal, transparent sterilising pouches are equally suitable for autoclave or ethylene oxide gas sterilisation. The pouch has a two-ply polyester/polypropylene laminated transparent front bonded to a medical grade white sterilisation paper. The paper used conforms to BS6256 and the complete pouch meets the requirements of DHSS specification TSS/S/ 330.010. Dual arrows are printed on each pouch; pink changes to brown under normal autoclaving conditions and blue changes to yellow when gas sterilised. A self-seal adhesive band, which is on the shortest side, is used to seal the pouch. Heat sealing is not required.
