Akashi Blended Whisky

This is whisky blended in the scotch tradition, with Japanese precision, the malt is lightly peated, and vatting is mostly ex-bourbon, balanced by White Oak’s unique variety of barrels.

Akashi whisky is produced by the White Oak Distillery in Japan. The family run distillery was the first to be granted a whisky distillation license back in 1919. Whisky distillation takes place once a year over a four-month period from April to July. A new distillery using Scottish methods was built in 1984 and double distillation takes place in traditional copper pot stills.
