Depth maps are essentially 2D representations of 3D distance information using shades of grey. They are commonly used for producing 3D embossings using fiber lasers on metal coins as seen in the video above.

The download package includes the PNG depth map, as well as the original design file used to produce the depth map that you can use to add engraved features on top of your embossing if you wish. (Process also shown in the video above).
