Groundworks is the newest book edited by Dr. Don Hanlon Johnson, the Director of the Somatics Graduate Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies. It is the result of a collaboration among a group of experienced somatic educators working together on the process of writing somatic case studies. As part of this group Elizabeth Beringer has written an extensive case study discussing in detail a Functional Integration lesson in which the entwined nature of emotion and movement come forth with poetic clarity. The other writers include Bonnie Cohen Emile Conrad Da'oud and Michael Salveson.
