Horology By The Sea is thrilled to present a true masterpiece of German watchmaking: the Dornblüth & Sohn Quintus 40.0 Klassik with a bespoke salmon dial. This exquisite timepiece, crafted by the renowned father-and-son duo in Kalbe, Germany, is a testament to the artistry and precision that define independent horology.
For this bespoke creation, the client requested a lovely salmon dial with engraved numerals and minute track which have been filled with black paint to complement the grainy black ceramic subdial at 6 o'clock. The 60 in the subdial has been painted red for a nice added touch.
The reverse side reveals Dornblüth's in-house Calibre 2010, a hand-wound movement that beats at operates at 2.5Hz and delivers a power reserve of 52 hours. Featuring a double-barrel system with a patented Maltese Cross mechanism, this movement ensures near-linear torque for precise chronometry. Every detail, from the hand-engraved balance cock to the heat-blued screws and gold chatons, showcases Dornblüth’s dedication to traditional craftsmanship.
The stainless steel case in mint condition and measures 40mm x 11mm x 50mm lug-to-lug and is in excellent condition. Caseback is engraved "Unique Piece". Furnished on an OEM dark brown ostrich leather strap with signed Dornblüth pin buckle. Complete with Box & Warranty Certificate dated March 6th, 2024.
