Use a Mammoth TT Twin Speed Inline Fan and choose between two available settings for the air flow rate of your extraction system, making adjustments as and when required to take account of different temperatures over the course of the year. All it takes is the flick of a switch!
There are 4 models in this plug and play range, catering for every size and type of hobby grower. Pleasingly you’ll find each of the high pressure TT fans feature quality components, offer up thermal overheating protection and include a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty. Very little noise emits from these products, an IP65 rating indicates dustproofing and waterproofing properties, and a quick release mechanism allows for easy cleaning too! Furthermore, you don’t need to wire up a Mammoth TT Twin Speed Inline Fan and you don’t need to purchase a separate power lead (one is supplied).
Every hour your Mammoth TT Twin Speed Inline Fan operates, it should be able to shift a certain amount of air, with a number of factors having a bearing here, like the shape and size of your grow room and the quantity, power and type of lighting being operated. Now, don’t worry if this sounds confusing – a rough guide to finding a suitable model is outlined below:
When you decide to purchase the individual components of an extraction system, you must ensure your Mammoth TT Twin Speed Inline Fan and the intended carbon filter and ducting are compatible. Again, see the list below for our suggestions:
To create a complete extraction system, combine your Mammoth TT Twin Speed Inline Fan with the following products (in suitable sizes):
Broadly speaking, there are two options for configuring an extraction system:
1.) Carbon Filter > Fast Clap > Extractor Fan > Duct Clip > Ducting (recommended)
2.) Carbon Filter > Duct Clip > Ducting (short) > Duct Clip > Extractor Fan > Duct Clip > Ducting
In terms of where to locate your extraction system, we recommend hanging it at the top of the growing area, with the air exiting the tent or room from an opposite corner of where you intend to bring fresh air in – typically via an intake fan or open vent(s) positioned low down. This arrangement prevents you from immediately extracting away the fresher air coming in.
For best results and the most effective ventilation setup, you should draw in around 20% less air than you extract. In a tent, this stops air seeping out before it’s been through your filter. Users of small-to-medium sized tents can get away with just opening up the vents to allow enough air in, but we recommend installing an active intake system for tents measuring 1.2m x 2.4m and above. A Mammoth TT Twin Speed Inline Fan will work well for this task too – simply pick the model below your extractor fan and combine with suitable sized lengths of ducting and duct clips.
