The Universe is a medium height retractable pool enclosure.  The Universe retractable pool enclosures are available in six sizes and your choice of two polycarbonate panel styles.

Universe Enclosure Sizes (length by width by height)

The Type I Universe enclosure is the smallest size and the Type VI is the largest enclosure size.

Choose a pool enclosure size that exceeds your pool's footprint.  If you would like additional space for tables and chairs, choose an enclosure with additional length or additional width.

• Type I - 35 feet long by 17 feet 2 inches wide by 6 feet 7 inches high.
• Type II - 41 feet 8 inches long by 18 feet 8 inches wide by 6 feet 7 inches high.
• Type III - 41 feet 8 inches long by 20 feet 6 inches wide by 7 feet 3 inches high.
• Type IV - 48 feet 8 inches long by 20 feet 6 inches wide by 7 feet 6 inches high.
• Type V - 41 feet 8 inches long by 22 feet 2 inches wide by 7 feet 6 inches high.
• Type VI - 48 feet 8 inches long by 22 feet 2 inches wide by 7 feet 6 inches high.

Enclosure maximum width and height is dependent on wind and snow loads in your area.  We offer various sizes of aluminum profiles to sustain required loads.

• Type I - Wind 150 mph, Snow 70 psf
• Type II - Wind 150 mph, Snow 70 psf
• Type III - Wind 150 mph, Snow 70 psf
• Type IV - Wind 150 mph, Snow 70 psf
• Type V - Wind 150 mph, Snow 60 psf

Polycarbonate Enclosure Panels

Choose from two options: Twin Wall or Compact polycarbonate panels.

Twin Wall Polycarbonate (10mm size)

• Twin Wall polycarbonate panels are designed with two polycarbonate panels separated by an air pocket in the middle which offers 15% better thermal efficiency than a compact polycarbonate panel.
• The two panel design offers a naturally obscured view which offers partial privacy from the outside.
• Twin Wall design is less expensive than the Compact Polycarbonate Design.
• Twin Wall is 200 times stronger than glass.

Compact Polycarbonate (4mm size)

• Compact polycarbonate is clear as glass.  Allows you to maximize your outdoor views from inside your enclosure.
• Compact polycarbonate is more expensive than twin wall polycarbonate and has slightly less thermal efficiency than twin wall polycarbonate. 
• Compact polycarbonate is 200 times stronger than glass.

Additional Information about the Universe Pool Enclosures

The Universe models are designed to have a roof height which you can walk under allowing you to get changed before you swim or dry off afterwards right under the enclosure.

The Universe line of pool enclosures offers a balanced compromise between a low and high enclosure. Universe has a rounded shape which gives a higher central line positioned over the middle of the pool. 

The wider the enclosure, the higher the center of the building is – if you opt for a wider model you can even place table, chairs or sun loungers under it.

Sliding or swinging doors can be fitted to the front and back walls of the enclosure.  Side-mounted sliding doors can be fitted into the side walls of the highest or lowest segment.
