After graduating from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris and the Berlin University of the Arts with top honors, Kazuya Saito won the first prize at the Campillos International Piano Competition, the first prize at the Massarosa International Piano Competition, the highest prize at the Arthur Schnabel International Piano Competition, and numerous other international competitions. Saito's official debut album is a collection of Liszt and Rachmaninoff works that sparkle with gorgeous virtuosity. The title, "The Passion", refers not only to his passionate virtuosity but also to the meaning of the Passion of Christ, to which the music is attached. (C)RS
