Daniel Collin is one of France's leading accordionists. This is a memorial album recorded to commemorate the 80th anniversary of his birth. Produced by guitarist Dominique Kravik, he shows a lively accordion performance that belies his age, and his bandoneon on the fifth track is full of emotion. The recording features a wide variety of music, from works by Charles Trenet to those by Serge Gainsbourg. Three of the songs are new compositions for this album! The participating musicians include Claire Elgierre on vocals, Jean-Philippe Vallee on double bass, Gregory Vu on piano, Mathilde Febvrere on violin, Jean-Michel Davis on percussion, and other musicians with wonderful taste.
